lunch yoga class

what’s for lunch?

work schedules can be demanding. the day takes a lot out of us mentally, sometimes leading to stress and strain on the body, often compromising the immune system.

lunch break is an opportunity for us to step away from the computer and recharge our batteries. a short yoga class during lunch could be just what you need to stay centered through the day.

eastside yoga offers a 45-minute lunch class for just $9 , $16 (w/ lunch)

classes start promptly at 12.15pm.  tuesday and thursdays

lunch time is precious, so we decided to help you get your lunch -- one less thing to worry about!

lunch is provided by Blue Dahlia bistro. upon arriving at class: 1) pay for your lunch/class, 2) choose from blue dahlia selection, 3) lunch awaits you at end of class. enjoy your lunch in either the esy reception or take your box lunch back to work.

what if I can’t make it to class?

there are a few simple things you can do to bring yourself back to center
  • take occasional breaks, get away from computer for just a few minutes and rest your eyes.
  • go for a short walk outside (if it’s not too hot). this fail-safe exercise will help circulation, boost energy and move your joints.
  • two minute meditation: after spending the day in your head, get into the body by quietly focusing through the body. notice how it feels, shift attention from feet, ankles, knees, hips, shoulders, wrists and neck.
  • gently twist your torso on your chair and turn neck to each side. a simple stretch will release tension. remember that motion is lotion for your joints!
  • sit up aligned. raise your chair if possible so your torso to thigh angle is about 105-110 degrees, the lift will enable your pelvis/back to align and take pressure of your back naturally.
  • take a deep breath and smile a little.
